It all began on a warm afternoon in 2018, with the sun high in the sky, waves rolling gently onto the shore, and the air filled with the sounds of summer. It was Janai’s birthday, a day already special, but one that would unknowingly mark the beginning of something even more extraordinary. On that beach, amidst the laughter of friends and the rhythm of the ocean, two paths crossed. A conversation sparked, effortless and natural. When it was time to leave, he walked Janai to her car, a small yet thoughtful gesture that left an impression. They exchanged numbers, a quiet promise of a connection that neither of them knew would come back around in the most unexpected way. Months passed with silence between them, life carrying them forward in different directions. But fate had its own plans. In August, Janai moved to Maryland, only to discover that the person she had met on that sunlit beach lived just fifteen minutes away. It was as if the universe had been waiting for the perfect time to bring them together again. Their first date was at Six Flags, an adventure filled with thrill, laughter, and the undeniable realization that this was something special. From that moment on, they were inseparable. What began as a chance meeting on the sand had turned into a love story written in the stars. And now, years later, they are bringing it back to the sand.. this time in Los Cabos, Mexico, where they will say "I do" with the ocean once again as their witness.
