This is where we are getting married and our primary recommendation of where to stay. It is a beyond stunning, 55-acre property. There are 85 guest rooms at Graylyn. We'd love for you to stay on site with us if you can. The estate is both kid-friendly and pet-friendly (pets only allowed in certain rooms). Enjoy fresh baked butterscotch cookies and ice cream everyday (we will be enjoying them for sure)! There are 10 rooms reserved for our wedding party for 5/24-5/26. The block is to keep the rooms available but does not offer any discounted rate. To reserve a room via our block, simply call into the reservation line at 336-758-2425 and request to book a room under the "Schmidt-Kissling" wedding block. There is no online code for this so you will need to call in. Our blocked rooms will be located in the Mews section of the property.

Should our primary option be booked up, The Historic Brookstown Inn is a great option as well. This building was converted from a Mill in the 1800s to what it is today. Each guest room offers a unique experience. Very close to downtown and old Salem. Kid-friendly, but no pets allowed (besides service animals). Rooms seem to run around $150 a night before taxes and other fees.
Hotel
Approximately a 15-minute drive from the venue is the Hilton Garden Inn. This is a more budget friendly option at around $115 per night before taxes and other fees. This location is both child and pet friendly!
House Or Rental
We know many of you may prefer to stay at a house with other guests coming to the wedding. It’s a great idea! Check out Airbnb for dozens of local options to suit your party’s unique needs.

Winston-Salem is very spread out. Unless you are driving your own vehicle here, we'd recommend renting a car while in town to enjoy many activities that the area offers.
