When It All Began

2013

We met in 2011 at work and remained friends for a while. Fast forward to 2013 and life brought us together unexpectedly. We began our journey by a casual day on the boat with friends and that is when we both truly knew there was an undeniable connection between us. From there we slowly began building a life together and enjoying all the moments in between. We have been by each others side and pushing one another to be the best version of ourselves we can be. We have been raising one of the best kids there is, Chad- AKA "LC" for "Little Chad", even though he is not so little anymore. He has been growing into such an amazing young man and loves his Family & Friends and playing Travel Baseball! We bought a boat in 2016 and love making memories with family and friends out on the water! In 2018 we bought our first home together and we love it! We have traveled to Illinois, New York, South Carolina, North Carolina, Iceland, Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Utah, Colorado, Mexico, Key West, Tennessee, and the West Coast of Florida... and we can't wait to see more beautiful places this World has to offer!

The Proposal

2.16.2020

We had been together just shy of seven amazing years but we had never put marriage as a priority. Our focus had always been on building a life together and creating memories! Until 2-16-2020, Chad completely caught me off guard, I was so surprised! I don’t know how he pulled it off because I normally pick up on everything but he sure did make it special. He said he spent hours looking for the perfect ring and that is why it is so meaningful to me, for the simple reason that he put so much thought into it and choose a flawless ring! He planned to pop the question on the beach since he knew that was my mom’s favorite place but plans changed when I didn’t want to “mess up my hair” … you can relate ladies lol. So, in typical firefighter fashion he adapted and overcame and went with Plan B a few days later. He simply laid out a bunch of pictures of our best memories along with rose petals and had a bottle of champagne on ice! I turned the corner and there he was on one knee; I was in complete shock. He asked me to spend the rest of my life with him and of course I said YES!
