Our wedding is Sunday, May 24th. It’s the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend.
Our wedding is at Three Waters Resort and Marina in Islamorada, FL.
You have many options through many different platforms! You can stay at Three Waters where the wedding will be held, or you can stay at one of the other sister properties - Amara Cay or La Siesta. There is a free Water Taxi and shuttle that takes you between each of the 3 resorts. Each resort offers something different. Three Waters will be the biggest property and offer the most entertainment and dining options. Amara Cay is the closest in size to Three Waters and offers more entertainment than La Siesta, but offers lower rates than Three Waters. La Siesta is the quietest and smallest property, but they also offer beautiful cottages on the beach, as well as a pool. There is also “Cheeca Lodge and Spa” which is right next door to Three Waters, or “Islander” resort, which is about ~5 minutes South of Three Waters. The theme of our wedding is very laid back - and we want it to feel like a big family and friends vacation. While we would love if everyone could stay at Three Waters, we understand if one of the other properties works better for you and your family. We have found the best rates through Expedia or other 3rd-party booking websites.
Since our wedding is Memorial Day weekend, we recommend booking your hotel and flight as soon as possible for both price and availability. Three Waters has great rates through their website (especially for Marriott Bonvoy members), but we have found the best rates through 3rd-party booking websites like Expedia and Kayak. If you have any questions about rates or where to stay, please do not hesitate to reach out to either one of us.
To RSVP to any and all events, as well as pick your food options, go to the RSVP page on this website. Please submit your RSVP by April 10th so we can plan accordingly!
There will be group events starting as early as Friday, May 22nd, so it’s really up to you! We plan on scheduling a snorkeling/sand bar excursion for whoever is interested on Saturday morning. These events are optional, but we would love if you could join us for at least one group activity. We don’t want anyone to be strangers at the wedding!
You have options! Our best recommendation is to rent a car through Turo, Expedia, Sixt or whatever car rental company you feel comfortable with. In our experience, Turo and the airport rental cars have been easiest for us since we can pick up and drop off the car directly from the airport. There are also shuttles that take groups from the airport to The Keys. If there is enough interest, we’re happy to look into coordinating this to help get folks down.
If you want to visit a sister property or are staying at a sister property, there are many modes of transportation to get around once you arrive to your hotel. There is a free resort shuttle that takes you to all 3 properties (PLUS more places in Islamorada) that you can call using a QR code that will be provided to you once you get to your property. It normally takes anywhere from ~15 to ~40 minutes for the shuttle to come once you call it, so plan accordingly if you plan to use it! There is also a free water taxi (boat) that takes you to all 3 properties. They run on a schedule, and the schedule will be provided once you arrive to your property. It takes about ~30 minutes by boat to go to each property for a total round trip time of 1.5 hours. The fastest way to get to where you want to go is by Uber - very much available in the Keys!
The welcome party is at Three Waters Marina on Saturday, May 23rd at 6:00. We will be serving light bites, beer, wine, our signature margarita, and soda! Wear your most fun colors and get ready to have some fun.
That is completely up to you! Will and I are leaving on Monday, May 25th, but we know some families are making this a vacation and staying through the week after the wedding. We also know that some people have to get back to “real life” on Monday, May 25th. Whatever works for you, works for us!
We do! But, you’ll find there isn’t a whole lot on it… for a reason! Will and I are fortunate enough to have our home and the furniture and things inside of it. If you feel like you want to contribute something to us, please contribute to our honeymoon fund. We’re going to Italy for 4 days and then on to France to watch the F1 Monaco Grand Prix. Anything helps us to have a great experience!
Anything that makes you feel beautiful! Bridesmaids will be in light blue, Will and Groomsmen will be in B&W suits, and our colors are pretty neutral… so any color or design will work. The average temperature on May 24th is high 70’s/low 80’s and we will be directly on the beach. Keep in mind it can also get pretty windy down in the keys!
For any questions or concerns, please feel free to text Will or I. We’re more than happy and will do our best to help!
