As the older sister of the bride, she spent most of our childhood reminding me that she was older, wiser, and definitely in charge. Makayla has definitely been preparing for the role of Maid of Honor for probably her whole life. Between the bossing around, occasional sibling bullying, and setting impossibly high standards for the rest of us, she somehow also became one of my favorite people and biggest supporters. She's always been the first to tell me the truth, make me laugh, and have my back when it matters most. I couldn't imagine having anyone else by my side as my Maid of Honor on this special day.

The little sister of the bride somehow managed to be the child who never got in trouble, a concept the rest of us still don't fully understand. Anya has always been the sweet, laid-back one, bringing a sense of calm wherever she goes. Growing up, she was kind to everyone, easy to get along with, and rarely the source of any family drama (which is more than can be said for some of us). I'm so grateful for her friendship, support, and unwavering kindness, and I couldn't be happier to have her as a bridesmaid on my wedding day.

The best friend of the bride, Emily, has been my partner in crime since 2019. Emily and I met when we were just 14 years old through a mutual friend, and ever since then, we have been inseparable. She has seen the best and worst parts of me. Through heartbreak, celebration, and everything in between, Emily has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. She has the best sense of humor, and has always been someone I can totally be weird around, and still somehow understands me. Her unwavering friendship is something I will always cherish, and I couldn’t be happier to have her by my side for my wedding day.

From the moment Taylor and I became friends, she has brought so much joy and laughter to my life. She is, without a doubt, one of the funniest people I have ever met. If you’ve ever had to privilege to hear her laugh, I’m sure you wouldn’t ever forget it. No matter the situation, she can make me smile, turn a bad day around, and find humor when I need it most. What makes her truly special to me behind all of the jokes and laughter is her incredibly kind heart. She is the friend who can light up a whole room with just by being herself. I am forever grateful for all of the laughs and inside jokes we’ve shared, and I couldn’t imagine celebrating this day without her by my side.

Bri, the sister of the groom, has welcomed me in to the family with kindness, warmth and generosity. Although I haven’t know her for as long as the others, it didn’t take long for me to absolutely adore her. As the groom’s sister, she has given me an even greater appreciation for the wonderful family I am lucky enough to be joining. Bri has a beautiful heart, a caring spirit, and a way of making those around her feel valued. What started as gaining a future sister in law has become truly gaining another sister. I am so blessed to be able to have her on my side on our special day.

Dauntae, having you as my Best Man means more to me than I can put into words. You’re not only my family, but you’ve also been one of my closest friends throughout my life.
