On August 7, 2021, we went on our first date at a dog park. And yes… Naomi picked the dog park. Not because it was romantic, but because it felt like a safe plan. If things got awkward, she had Coco as her built-in escape. Instead, we ended up sitting there for two hours in the summer heat, completely losing track of time and ignoring how hot it was. We talked about everything. Our goals, our families, our quirks, what we wanted out of life. It didn’t feel like a first date. It just felt easy, like we had known each other a lot longer than we actually had. Two months later, on October 8th, we made it official, and from then on we’ve done pretty much everything side by side. The last four years have been made up of the kind of moments that don’t sound big, but somehow mean everything to us. Coffee runs that turn into long conversations, very competitive 1v1 basketball games, exploring new cities, late-night video games, road trips, moving in together, and learning how to share a grocery list without still buying doubles of everything. Four years after becoming official, Drew proposed at home, in our townhouse, with Coco there. It felt very us. Simple, full circle, and perfect in a way that didn’t need anything extra. What started as a “we’ll see how this goes” kind of date turned into something steady, fun, and safe. The kind of love that feels like home. We’ve grown up together, built a life we’re really proud of, and now we can’t wait for everything that’s ahead. We are so excited for forever and so grateful you’re here to celebrate with us 🤍
