Our wedding will take place at the Kennedy’s beautiful waterfront property in Brighton, Ontario. Calvin grew up next door, making this such a special space. We can’t think of a more meaningful place to begin this next chapter!
We’re hoping for sunshine, but if it rains, our ceremony will be held at our nearby church. The reception will continue as planned at the waterfront property, where we’ll celebrate under a covered tent. Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church 18 Fourth Ave Trenton, ON. K8V 5N3 *If calling for rain, please monitor your email the day of for confirmation of our ceremony location.
We ask that you arrive at least thirty minutes before the ceremony. If running late, please contact our wedding coordinator Karly at 613-929-8860.
If you’re planning to stay overnight, here are a few options: Timber House Resort 7-minute drive Timber House offers cozy waterfront cottages and lodge-style accommodations for a relaxed, scenic stay close to the celebration. Presqu’ile Provincial Park 9-minute drive For our outdoorsy guests, Presqu’ile Provincial Park offers beautiful campsites right on Lake Ontario. It’s a lovely option if you’d like to turn the weekend into a getaway. Ramada by Wyndham Trenton 17-minute drive For a more traditional hotel stay, the Ramada is located just off Highway 401 in Trenton, Ontario. It’s a full-service hotel offering comfortable rooms, an indoor pool and free parking and wi-fi.
We kindly ask all guests to arrange transportation in advance, as shuttle service will not be available. Taxi services are available and can be pre-arranged for pick-up and drop-off. Please arrange a safe ride home - your safety is important to us.
Parking is available near the venue. Please watch for parking signs upon arrival.
Our dress code is cocktail attire. We invite you to dress up and celebrate with us - suits, dress shirts, cocktail dresses and elevated summer styles are perfect. Our wedding is outdoors, so please plan footwear accordingly.
Absolutely! Our event is catered by the talented Mark Wikkerink, owner of Hendriks BBQ in Prince Edward County (who also happens to be a longtime friend of Calvin’s!). Guests can also enjoy a fresh oyster and seafood bar hosted by The Summer Wind Catering Co. during cocktail hour. We will also be hosting an open bar, professionally bartended through The Whitehorse Mobile Bar.
While we adore your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event, with the exception of the children in our wedding party. We appreciate your understanding!
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate guests who are formally listed on invitations. We appreciate your understanding.
Your presence on our day is truly the greatest gift. If you wish to honour us, monetary gifts would be sincerely appreciated as we start our life together.
We have incredible photographers and videographers documenting the day, so we invite you to put your phones away and enjoy the moment with us.
