Where do I book a hotel?

Answer

If you are traveling in from out of town, we recommend staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Durham Southpoint at 7007 Fayetteville Rd, Durham, NC 27713. We have reserved a block of rooms under the 'Armitage/Kellogg Wedding' for Friday & Saturday nights (July 11th & 12th, 2025). The wedding party will be staying here too! To book, call the local reservation team at 919-544-6000. If you prefer to stay with Marriott, we recommend staying at the Courtyard Raleigh Cary/Parkside Town Commons at 1008 Parkside Main St, Cary, NC 27519. If you prefer to stay with Hyatt, we recommend staying at the Hyatt Place Durham/Southpoint at 7840 NC-751, Durham, NC 27713.

When do I arrive?

Please plan to arrive to Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral (715 Nazareth St, Raleigh, NC) for 10:30-10:45 AM to ensure plenty of time for seating and traffic. Our ceremony will start promptly at 11 AM!

What is the dress code?

Answer

We are having a semi-formal dress code and recommend summer colors and pastels! Our wedding party color palette is lavender and green for reference.

Where do I park?

Answer

There will be free parking both at the cathedral and at our reception! To begin your day, please map yourself to Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral at 715 Nazareth St, Raleigh, NC 27606. Please arrive at around 10:30AM-10:45AM (the ceremony will begin promptly at 11 AM). After the ceremony, we will drive to the nearby venue (NC State University Club) with free parking located at 4200 Hillsborough St, Raleigh, NC 27606.

Can I take photos?

Answer

Yes of course! During the 1-hour ceremony itself inside the Cathedral, we ask you to refrain from using phones as it is an actual Catholic Nuptial Mass. But you are more than welcome to take photos and videos at any other point throughout the day and are welcome to share them with Camryn (910) 617-1284 via text so we can treasure them!!

Is the wedding reception indoor or outdoor? What weather should I prepare for?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception are indoor locations, so we will be nice and cool for our wedding day! Raleigh summers are typically hot with the average July afternoon temps hovering in the 90s. Don’t expect to be standing outdoors for any long periods of time as all events are planned to be indoors!
