Though we had many close calls growing up in the same town and attending the same high school, our paths finally crossed when the time was just right. The winter of 2020 while Auston was home for Thanksgiving break, a mutual friend had brought us together for a fun night in our hometown. It was love at first sight to say the least. We spent almost every day together after chatting for hours. In March, three months after meeting were officially a couple and still inseparable.

On our annual fall trip to Arizona to visit some friends, we decided to head to San Diego for the weekend. A place that holds a special spot in Delaney's heart as her parents had spent their first years of marriage living there. An unexpected hike in some high heels at Torrey Pines Beach before dinner was not on the agenda (for Delaney) however, Auston had plans of his own. On the most beautiful cliffside we decided to take some photos before we left. Auston in his cleaver ways got down on one knee and popped the question. We celebrated with phone calls to our loved ones and a fancy Italian dinner. To say it was the most perfect night is an understatement.
