Fall of 2014. John was a junior and Katherine a sophomore at Seattle University. Their paths crossed as John and Katherine began a new job at the front desk of the Student Center (CAC) on campus. However, different schedules kept them from getting to know each other well. Fast forward one year, with the help of mutual coworker friends (S/O Spence and Meg) and better work schedules, the duo finally started hanging out…it only took a couple extra swing shifts on the weekends and countless hours spent hanging behind the desk before the two couldn't deny that there was something there. That winter, through divine intervention, John drew Katherine's name for the Secret Santa work gift exchange. A thoughtful candle is all it took to get her attention, and the rest is history.
