Our story began long distance when Emily and Jarrod met while Emily was traveling. What started as a simple message quickly grew into a relationship built on faith, friendship, adventure, and countless miles traveled together. Through phone calls, FaceTimes, holiday visits, birthdays, and every flight we could make happen, our long-distance relationship grew stronger with each passing year. Every mile truly brought us closer to forever. In a surprise proposal at Arches National Park in Utah, one of Emily’s favorite places, Jarrod asked her to spend forever with him, and she happily said yes. Today, we call Austin home as we continue building our life together. When it came time to choose where we would begin our marriage, Kauai was the perfect fit-combining Emily’s love of the mountains with Jarrod’s love of the ocean.
