We're getting married!

Though we both grew up in Maryland — Maddie in Baltimore and Timmy in Severna Park — it took moving 900 miles south for our paths to cross. In 2017, we both landed at the University of Tampa. It wasn’t exactly love at first sight… but it was love at first Easy Mac. One night on the fifth floor of Vaughn Hall, after maybe a few too many drinks, Timmy offered Maddie the ultimate gesture: a cup of Easy Mac. From there, our paths kept crossing — in the dorm, on the way to class, and eventually on our first official date: ice skating in Curtis Hixon Park… yes, there’s somehow an outdoor ice rink in Florida! From that point on, it was clear there was something special between us. We grew closer through study breaks that turned into excuses to see each other, adventures around Tampa, and even while Maddie studied abroad in Australia. During COVID, we adopted our cat, Kobe (aka Kitty), who quickly became part of the family. After graduating from UT, we stayed in Tampa to start our careers and, more importantly, to keep growing together. From college days to adulthood, through the ups, downs, and everything in between, we’ve supported each other, learned from each other, and built a love centered on faith, family, and community (plus hosting friends whenever we can)! In June 2025, Timmy surprised Maddie with a proposal on a family beach trip — months earlier than she expected. Of course, she said yes! Now we can’t wait to celebrate the sacrament of marriage surrounded by all our favorite people in the city where our love story began.
