Gathering guidelines and pandemic permitting, we hope you are able to join us for an (almost) 1 year wedding anniversary celebration! Let's spend the evening revisiting some of our favorite wedding day memories, as well as enjoying drinks, dinner, and dancing! We fully understand this is, as always, an ever-changing situation; we will continue to stay in-touch on current plans and any changes through this website. Here's to second time's the charm!

After careful consideration, we have decided to proceed with a small private wedding ceremony on July 25th, with a full reception to follow next summer. To all our friends and family, Given Wisconsin’s current recommendations for mitigating Covid case growth, we are sad to announce that we will no longer be able to hold our wedding on June 6. While this is difficult for the both of us as well as so many of you who were looking forward to attending, we felt it was the most prudent decision to ensure the safety and well-being of those we care about the most. As of now, we are still weighing our options as to how best to move forward; we will continue communicating updates with you, both on this site as well as Facebook. True natives of the digital age, Amanda and Rohan’s story begins online. After a very on-brand conversation where Rohan mentioned beer league hockey and Amanda mentioned her affinity for sewing and crafting, the two agreed to meet at a local coffee shop in Madison. Though the coffee shop was just down the road from her apartment, Amanda found herself running late, on Lewandowski time per usual. The two chatted away, closing the shop down before Rohan had to run to a hockey game. The chemistry between them was undeniable as on their second date, they went two for two in closing establishments down. Amanda and Rohan enjoyed their time in Madison, fighting their collective introversion and exploring the city together. Amanda expanded Rohan’s taste in music, introducing him to polkas and country music. Rohan responded in kind by expanding Amanda’s tastes in food, turning her on to sushi and spicy food.

Business school took Rohan to Minnesota, which began a year of power ranking the top rest stops on I-94 between Madison and the Twin Cities. Thankfully, after only the one year apart, Amanda moved to Minnesota and the two could continue their explorations together. Amanda and Rohan now live in a Minneapolis suburb where they enjoy an abundance of world cuisines all within a short drive.

Rohan was eager to propose as early as he could; this led to him devising a plan to propose to Amanda during their spring break trip to Puerto Vallarta rather than a graduation trip planned to Arizona. To keep Amanda unsuspecting, he started dropping hints about the importance of the graduation vacation. Amanda took the bait. The scene was set for an amazing surprise: crystal-clear waters, blue skies, abundant food and drink. Amanda and Rohan spent an evening walking the streets of downtown Puerto Vallarta; Rohan was looking for a secluded spot to pop the question, which led to quite a bit of urban exploration. Many mojitos, margaritas, a giant mudslide, and some excellent enchiladas later, the two headed back to their resort. Unfazed that the “perfect moment” had not been apparent downtown, Rohan realized the resort itself would be an amazing backdrop. The moon was shining, the beach was empty, and the waves were crashing gently against the soft sand underneath their feet. It was not until Rohan was down on one knee that Amanda realized that he was proposing. Amanda spared Rohan any pause before giving her response – of course!
