We are so excited to get married and share part of our love story with you!! Where did it all being and how did we get here? Let's fill you in :) Some of you may have heard my best friend Jazmin say that Kaleb and I's love story is all thanks to her. We will certainly give her credit where credit is due, she did introduce Kaleb and I. Kaleb and I did not know each other before Jazmin made our connection. After a few weeks of convincing, I finally let her give him my phone number and not long after did I receive the infamous "Sup luv" text message. In true Kaleb and Kait fashion, we immediately laughed at how silly his "Sup luv" text was. Who says that? LOL His sense of humor was one of the first qualities that drew me in - I love to laugh and now we love to laugh together! Kaleb and I went on our first date to Camden, Maine where we window shopped, ate delicious food, and shared an admiration for the ocean together. This is where some might say the rest is history which is not entirely untrue, our love story is the most beautiful part of Kaleb and I's history, but this day meant so much more to me than that. This day sparked the realest and deepest kind of connection there is...when two souls say "Finally, I have found my missing piece". From that day on, my heart knew Kaleb was my one. The following fall, Kaleb took me back to Camden for a fun day trip to enjoy a gorgeous October day. We had an early dinner at the same restaurant we had our first date, we held hands walking around downtown window shopping just as we did on our first date and then we eventually drove down the coast to South Thomaston. Here we visited one of Kaleb's (and now mine) favorite spots, a private cove near and dear to his family's hearts. A spot he had also introduced me to that past summer. Yep, you guessed it! Next thing I know, Kaleb is down on one knee asking me to spend the rest of my life with him. I could have fainted right then I was A) SO surprised and B) SO FREAKING EXCITED. I actually made poor Kaleb repeat his whole proposal speech because the first time around I was crying like a baby and too stunned to fully take it in. Kaleb, the true gentleman he is, repeated every last word for me and my heart exploded into about 500 pieces. And the rest is history ;)
