We met at West Seneca West High School in 2014. We did the musical and band together and we had a lot of mutual friends but were too scared to talk to each other at first. One day at musical rehearsal we were both assigned to be a part of the dragon puppet in Shrek The Musical, and from that moment we were like the best of friends. We stayed friends for almost two years before we started dating! Our maybe-not-so-official dating anniversary is March 4, 2016.

Bridget proposed on February 11, 2021. We had an amazing in-home date night with a home-cooked meal and board games (our favorite kind of date night). Bridget convinced Deanna to learn a new TikTok dance she had seen. After learning it together and then starting to record it, Bridget gets down on one knee just before the song ends. Bridget gave a beautiful speech before asking Deanna to marry her, and of course, she said yes!

Because of current political events, we decided to elope to ensure our right to get married. On August 25, 2022, we went to Knox Farm in East Aurora with 3 friends (an officiant and two witnesses) and got married in the park on a beautiful, warm, bright sunny day. After our super short three-minute ceremony, we packed up, hopped on a plane, and went to Disney World! The next day we went to Magic Kingdom and gave our personal vows to each other in front of Cinderella's castle. This was one of the most magical moments in both of our lives, and we were so happy to share it together.
