Haley and Ben met during the very early days of college in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. They were both enrolled in General Chemistry, including the lab, and ended up in the same small lab section. Ben still remembers the first day he saw Haley and intentionally chose a seat diagonally across from her, hoping to get to know her a little better. By the end of their first semester, Haley and Ben had become good friends. When second semester rolled around, they sat next to each other every day, surrounded by a few close friends in nearly all of their classes. They studied together constantly, spending countless hours trying to survive exams and coursework. At the end of their first year of college, Ben finally asked Haley on a date and in May of 2019, they officially began their relationship and never looked back. They continued their journey together all through nursing school, supporting one another through clinicals, late night study sessions, dreaded papers, and exams that never seemed to end. The four years flew by, and neither could imagine getting through it without the other. They feel incredibly lucky to have shared those experiences side by side. In 2022, Haley and Ben graduated and moved back to Minnesota to begin their careers. They both accepted nursing positions at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. They loved building their life there—working, making new friends, and growing together. Then, in 2025, Ben popped the question! Of course, Haley said “yes,” and now they are so excited to begin this next chapter as husband and wife.
