Travel Note
Typically the cheapest flights for our out-of-staters will be to LA (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), or Fresno (FAT), in that order. Although you can get flights to San Luis Obispo (SLO) which is 30 minutes south of Paso Robles if you prefer. Assuming lite traffic. LA is 3hrs 30mins away. SF is 3hrs away. And Fresno is 2hrs away.
Travel Note
There are many great options for both hotels and Airbnbs in the area. You can't really go wrong here. Just start your search in Paso Robles. The venue is technically in Creston, which is slightly southeast of Paso. Atascadero is nearby and SLO is 30 minutes south. Both provide great options for accommodations as well.

Please go wine tasting!! Whether you like wine or not! This is the place to find that perfect wine for you! Both Paso and SLO have such a wide variety of incredible vineyards all packed really close together, so you can hop between them as you wish! Some (but nowhere near all) of our favorites: SLO (Edna Valley): cooler climate wines Bailyana/Tangent – this is the first winery Brad and I got a membership at and the tasting room is an old remodeled single-room schoolhouse! Great wines, great people, great priecpoint! Biddle Ranch – This is where our engagement photos were taken and one of the most gorgeous venues. Saucelito Canyon – This is where Carly found wines she really liked when we took her wine tasting! If her and Brad can find wines they love, then so can you! Paso Robles: warmer climate wines Tooth and Nail – it is a castle with a moat, nuff said. Law – expensive but absolutely incredible (we are members here) Calcareous – definitely wins some of the best views
Travel Note
San Simeon – 45 minutes away – This is where you can tour Hearst Castle and see the elephant seals. Morro Bay – 35 minutes away – You can see Morro Rock and Kayak in the bay! Not a ton to do in town; a little bit of shopping and lots of fresh seafood. These next three are all right next to each other. Avila Beach – 45 minutes away – Where the locals go when the tourists take over Pismo. Usually, a little calmer than Pismo and has a more of a grab a drink and relax vibe. Mr. Ricks and Custom House are favorites here. Pismo Beach – 45 minutes away – One of the biggest vacation destinations around. Great food, world-famous chowder, a beautiful pier, and a very walkable beach down to the caves. We walk with Ellie from Grover to Pismo all the time. Most of my beach photos are on this beach including some of our engagement photos! Splash Café has the Chowder, Wooly’s has the drinks and views. Grover Beach (we live here) – 45 minutes away – The dunes! Rent an ATV or 4 Wheeler and go nuts!
