Hotel
Although this hotel is located in Michigan, it is only about 15 miles from the ceremony and reception location and 10 miles from our home. For those of you who are not familiar with the area, we live right on the Michigan/Wisconsin border. Days Inn is a great hotel that Meagan's family uses frequently when they come to visit. The rooms are comfortable, there is a continental breakfast, swimming pool and hot tub are available, and the staff is great. It is also located near anything you could need during your stay- - Walmart is directly across the street, Culver's shares a parking lot with the hotel, and there are many other restaurants and retail stores close by! If you choose to stay at Days Inn by Wyndham-Iron Mountain, please contact either Toby or Meagan so we can call and get your discount set in place!
Hotel
Holiday Inn Express & Suites is also located in Iron Mountain, MI. The rooms tend to be a very tad bit more expensive than Days Inn, but the beds are so comfortable it is like sleeping on clouds!
Travel Note
There is typically a good selection of homes available to rent through Air BnB or VRBO. If you choose this option, we suggest booking immediately as availability changes quickly in our area!
Hotel
Lakeside Bed & Breakfast is a beautiful place located on Fisher Lake right in Florence! Rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Florence is a very small town, so everything is within walking distance or a short drive. This is a great option.
Flight
Ford Airport in Iron Mountain, Michigan is a great choice to fly into if you are looking for convenience. It is right in town and close to hotels and our wedding venue. Ticket prices can be a little bit pricier as this is a VERY small airport and there may be more layovers. But typically the cost is not too much more and you really can't beat the location.
Flight
Austin Straubel Airport in Green Bay is another great option for flights. Green Bay is located about 97 miles from Florence, so it is a little bit of a drive. However, there are more options for rental cars and flight times seems as this airport is much larger than Ford in Iron Mountain. If you are looking to check out some neat places on your trip, don't forget to stop into Lambeau Field!
Rental Car
Avis Car Rental in Iron Mountain is located right next to Ford Airport. This is the only car rental company in town. If you need more options than what they offer, flying into Green Bay would be your best bet.
