We were in Scotland, a vacation for the two of us before going to London to meet up with my Rugby club for an international tournament. We were in Edinburgh during the last couple of days of their annual festival when the population triples. It was the last day of the festival and the Scottish National Symphony were playing in the gardens while fireworks were being shot off of Edinburgh Castle. We were watching the fireworks when he reached for my hand and slipped the ring on my finger, whispering the proposal in my ear.
