Honestly, we can't remember. Best bets: STRIDE vespers, Cambridge SDA, or Tufts Bible study.
Andrew caught a case of the feelings. He thought that Rachelle was dropping hints.
For the summer of 2016, Rachelle was working at an overnight camp. To keep himself on her mind, Andrew sent Rachelle scriptures and encouraging words throughout the summer via text. All of this went over Rachelle's head.
Andrew texted and called Rachelle multiple times to ask her out. Notorious for not knowing where her phone is, Rachelle never got back to him. One Sunday afternoon, Andrew called and Rachelle finally picked up. After catching up for a few minutes, Andrew asked her out on a date, and she said, "That sounds good."
Andrew and Rachelle met at Noodle Barn in JP for dinner and got FoMu for dessert. The laughs were abundant!
Over the next month, Andrew and Rachelle went on many dates and spent time getting to know each other better. They played tennis, attended a Take 6 concert, and went hiking (among other things).
They both liked what they saw and, most importantly, who each person was. Andrew in his typical awkward yet smooth way (he's writing this part...) asked Rachelle to be his girlfriend. Rachelle took her time to pray about it and a couple days later happily agreed :D. Oh yeah!
After a year and a half of getting to know each other and growing in love through that time, Andrew was confident in God's leading the relationship so far and the next step to come. After several failed attempts to setup the "perfect" scenario to ask Rachelle's hand in marriage, on March 24, 2018 he got down on one knee at the same spot where he asked her to be his girlfriend. Rachelle's response? "Are you serious?!" She definitely didn't see it coming, nor was it planned to do it then and there, but it was "perfect"! Oh, and she said, "yes!" :).
