HOW WE MET
Anthony & Sophia met at the University of Rhode Island, where they lived next door to each other in Browning Hall. At the end of freshman year after becoming close friends, Anthony officially asked Sophia to be his girlfriend, and here we are seven years later! :-)

THE PROPOSAL
During her study of Wildlife Conservation at URI, Sophia found a passion & love for birdwatching. One of her favorite spots is Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge in Newport, where Anthony & Sophia went to see their first snowy owl together! Anthony suggested they go birdwatching together there on March 18th, and while Sophia was looking through her binoculars at some Common Eiders, Anthony was ready behind her to pop the question when she turned around! Another memory to hold close to their hearts & remember fondly while birdwatching at Sachuest!
