I was living in Florida at the time. I came home to visit my sister Ashley and we went out to see our friends at a house party. John and I did not have a lot of conversation that night but we kept looking over at each other, eventually John walked over and put his arm around me.

On New Years Eve, 2019 John told me he loved me for the first time

We purchased our first home, our forever home in July 2021. Now as much as we enjoy being out and about with our friends and family, we also enjoy our time alone together being home-bodies either working on the yard, watching tv, or just hanging out on the deck.

We were on vacation in our favorite get-away spot, Florida. We woke up New Years morning, and the plan was to go get breakfast with my parents. I didn't want to leave the house, so it took some convincing for me get up and get ready... and to actually look nice! I didnt get why my outfit was so important that morning...and when I was finally ready to leave, the plans had changed. My parents were going to meet us at breakfast and my sister, John and I were to go ahead. My sister drove us to "Caddys on the Beach". I wanted a picture of John and I together so I asked my sister if she could take it, she asked John and I to actually go on the beach and move closer to the water. I then saw there was a stand set up on the beach by the water with a sign that said " I Love You". I saw the sign but it didn't dawn on me on what was about to happen. When John and I went to pose for the picture, John walked in front of me and started saying "From the day I met you, fours years ago I knew you were the one..." Then he got down on one knee and popped the question! The next hour we spent together there on the beach is a memory that I will forever look back on and say "That was that happiest moment of my life". I SAID YES!!
