We met the summer going into our Sophmore year at TCU and immediately hit it off with the fact that we were both studying abroad that summer (Sean to Ireland, and Elizabeth to Australia). When we got back from our travels, Sean asked Elizabeth to dinner at Velvet Taco, which now holds a special place in our hearts. We talked about all of the amazing travels we had, and the places we wanted to visit someday. A couple of months later, Sean asked Elizabeth to be his girlfriend while on a hike in Fort Worth. We both knew something special was starting as we couldn’t stop talking about our love for travel, trying new things, and our ambitions for our lives. These things still hold true as we have made promises to visit a new National Park each year, book flights as our Christmas presents, and are both working hard in our careers. We dated throughout college and made it through lockdown during COVID. Sean started a job in Dallas after graduation, and we did “medium distance” as Elizabeth finished her Masters at TCU for the next two years. We then decided to move in together and have been happy in Dallas for the past couple of years. After five years of dating, we went to South Lake Tahoe to ski Kirkwood with some friends in January 2024. On a suspicious "wine tasting" date, Sean walked Elizabeth down to the water on the edge of Lake Tahoe and asked her to marry him. The moment was so beautiful, and was marked by calling all of our loved ones to tell them the good news by the fireplace. The weekend was celebrated with friends, love, and skiing (a perfect combination!). We are so overjoyed for this next chapter, and are excited to see where the future takes us. Here's to the future Hunt's!
