Bret and I met back in 2019 working during high school at the Cuba Giant. College, jobs, and life kept us apart for a few years until we bumped into each other again while I was working at Giant as I finish out my degree. One thing led to another and Bret asked me out. I almost talked myself out of going on our first date, not because of Bret, but because of the fear of getting to know somebody again. Thank goodness I didn’t back out because that date was the first of many and the beginning of our story. Bret proposed to me on December 28, surrounded by the people who mean the most to me. It was the easiest “yes” of my life and I look forward to the lifetime of memories we will make together.
