The Hungates

It all started with a simple Instagram DM that led two complete strangers to share a first date over Pazookies at BJ’s in May of 2021. Bailey first saw Karissa on a mutual friend’s post and thought she was beautiful, so he just had to ask her out. A week later, they finally met in person and ended up closing down BJ’s, talking for hours and realizing it was the start of something special. From that night on, things just clicked. Their relationship grew quickly, filled with late-night talks, weekend plans, and plenty of laughs along the way. They love going to sports games, traveling, movie nights in, and spending time with friends and family. Through career changes, family moments, and everyday life together, their bond has only gotten stronger and it’s clear they’ve found their forever teammate. In January of this year, what was supposed to be a work trip for Bailey—traveling with the San Antonio Spurs to Paris—turned out to be the biggest surprise yet. On January 28th, Bailey got down on one knee in front of the Seine and the Eiffel Tower and asked the question he’d been waiting to ask the love of his life. Karissa’s shock quickly turned to happy tears as she said “yes” without hesitation, knowing Bailey was the one she was meant to be with. After nearly four years together, a home, and two dogs later, they can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the people they love most - officially becoming The Hungates!
