There are multiple direct flights into Sioux Falls Regional Airport per day from DFW via American Airlines. If you wish to fly another airline, the closest options are Omaha (about a 3 hour drive from Sioux Falls) and Minneapolis (about a 4 hour drive from Sioux Falls)

Travel Note
Please be aware that the Uber/Lyft access in Sioux Falls is not as convenient as it is in bigger cities. While these are an option, especially downtown and to/from the airport, in other areas of the city they tend to be limited and take a long time. Most wedding events will take place downtown, which is very walkable, but if you plan to explore the city further, renting a car is recommended.

Below is a quick travel note to help you decide the best way and how much time you'll need By Car - Distance: approx. 371 miles / 597 km from Sioux Falls to Mount Rushmore. - Driving time: roughly 5 hours 15 minutes (assuming normal traffic and stops). - Plan: If you drive early in the morning, you could spend several hours at the site and still return comfortably or stay overnight nearby in the Black Hills area. By Air + Drive - Nearest major airport to Mount Rushmore: Rapid City Regional Airport (RAP) in the Black Hills region. - Flights from Sioux Falls Regional (FSD) to Rapid City: multiple options, though often with at least one stop. - Once you land at Rapid City, you’ll need a drive of about 35–45 minutes to reach Mount Rushmore Things to Consider - If you want a same-day return to Sioux Falls, the car-drive option is the most straightforward. - If you prefer less driving and more relaxing, consider flying into Rapid City and staying overnight closer to Mount Rushmore (or the Black Hills) and returning the next day. - Reserve a rental car ahead of time if flying, and leave early for the drive to make the most of your time there.
