It all started at thee Illustrious Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC! (Alycia was a freshman & Will was a Junior.) POV: Will’s & his crew would “always” hang out, in front of the chapel, on campus — especially during the beginning of the school year & spring time! During their daily meetings, in front of the chapel, Will & his crew would always wonder who she (Alycia) was. Alycia had a Track and Field Scholarship so she would “always” walk by (the chapel) when going to practice, at SCSU, or to the cafe. One day on the yard, Will decides not to go to class, as usual, until his friend Naseed said “Yung we need to go to class today — I went the other day, it’s easy”. After missing about 2 weeks of Discrete Match class, Will decided to go. Unbeknownst to him, the girl (Alycia) who always walked by him was in his math class & was speaking with their teacher. They made eye contact, in passing but did not speak until finals. During the final exam, their teacher announced that notes could be used, while taking the test. As it was time to begin, Will said “What! Open book; I know I’m failing this I don’t even understand the book — “ Alycia, flirting and confident, said, “The teacher said you can use your notes; reassuring Will that everything needed, was given.” (not knowing that Will didn’t take notes all semester — or did she) Will gave the side eye & mumbled under his breath. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ahead — Will found Alycia on Facebook and liked every picture he could find on her page; including the statuses. After numbers were exchanged (he asked first) Will & Alycia would spend almost the entire summer on the phone together, staying up as late as they could, until they both fell asleep. Since then, it’s been a long road; never perfect but always growing in a positive direction. Over time (10 years) they have built a beautiful friendship, that turned into a family and ultimately a lifetime commitment. To forever & always. 🥂

June, 2015: Chloe Madison Hicks was born, in Orangeburg, SC. She is the oldest, of the four and possesses the characteristics of: leadership, confidence & charm. Chloe likes to learn, dance and play with her friends and family. December, 2016: Audrey Chanel Hicks was born, in Charlotte, NC. She is the sweetest and most loving, of the four and possesses the characteristics of: authenticity, bravery and kindness. Audrey likes to play with her toys, go to the playground and watch Spy Ninjas. October, 2018: Bailee Alexis Hicks was born, in Charlotte, NC. She is the youngest of the girls but comes with a big personality. The characteristics that she possesses are: independence, loyalty and wisdom. Bailee likes to change diapers, eat pancakes and play with her friends. February, 2021: William Marquette Hicks was born, in Charlotte, NC. He is the baby of the bunch but dont let his size fool you! The characteristics that he possesses are: charm, bravery and independence. William likes to walk, dance and eat.

It’s Mothers Day, 2020 — POV: The girls are in Denmark, SC. Will & Alycia are enjoying a date night in, Paint and Sip edition. Alycia created a group, for moms, on Facebook. On this day, it was already planned to have a live paint and sip session, with family and friends (that paid for tickets) During the live zoom event that was streaming in facebook, Will secretly asked Alexa to play “Let’s get Married” by Jagged Edge. While the music syarted playing, Alycia was on her 3rd glass of wine so feeling it, is an understatement. Lol. When Alycia realized what was going on, Will had already popped the question & had everyone in tears. Alycia said, “Yes!” of course & here we are today —
