Cheers to six years and forever to go!

On a cold winter night, January 11, 2020, Jeff Krickl hosted an Ugly Sweater party at his Des Plaines apartment. After having internally debating whether or not to leave home and drive in the horrendous conditions, Adam and Irina had decided to go. While they showed up late to the party, it had only just begun for them. Irina arrived shortly after 9 p.m.; Marguerite Incardone and other party goers were beginning to ask, "Where is A.J.?" As happy as she was to see her friend, Irina could not help but wonder: who the heck is A.J.? Shortly after 10 p.m. rolled around, Adam finally made an appearance, two hours late. Irina had been hanging around with Marguerite and upon admiring Sparky the corn snake (RIP), fate struck -- Adam walked into the very same room to put his jacket down. Adam was warmly greeted by Marguerite and then politely introduced himself to Irina as Jeff's college roommate at Western Illinois University from four years prior. His curiosity was piqued, and he wondered aloud, "What kind of snake is that?," which Irina incorrectly assumed was common knowledge among Jeff's friends. Irina had answered Adam's curious question with an extremely sarcastic tone and said, "It's a corn snake!" The sarcasm did not translate, and Adam did what any sane person would do: he politely excused himself and all but ran out of the room. As time went by, Adam was catching up with the guys, and caught a glimpse of Irina in the kitchen. As Irina mingled with others throughout the night, she eventually found herself at a small table in a corner of the kitchen with an empty seat next to her, which Adam happened to notice. "You can sit next to me," Irina invited with a smile, and then added, "I won't bite." At this point, Adam took it upon himself to fill the empty seat, and converse with Irina. As Adam and Irina were talking the night away learning about one another, they had lost track of time. Irina left in a hurry when she realized it was after 2 AM. On Irina's way out, Adam looked her in the eyes and said, "It was nice meeting you." At the same time, he made a promise to himself: "I'm going to see this woman again." Exactly six wonderful years later, Adam and Irina celebrate their wedding day and love for each other with you.
