Things To Do
Mount Hood
This is one of our favorite weekend spots and also where we took our engagement photos. Some great hikes to check out are: Ramona Falls, Bald Mountain, McNeil Point, Zig Zag Canyon, and Tamanawas Falls. Trillium lake is a great spot for water activities and picnicking. Timberline lodge is a great spot to grab a bite or spend the night.
Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area
If you rent a car, you definitely have to drive through the gorge! There are so many things to see like Multnomah Falls, Latourell Falls, Vista House at Crown Point, and Beacon Rock. We're happy to give hike recommendations, you should be able to see wildflower blooms this time of year! If you want to spend the night, Skamania Lodge and Hood River are great options.
Cannon Beach
The Oregon coast is beautiful this time of year. Cannon Beach is one of our favorites and is home to the famous Haystack Rock. Ecola State Park and Oswald West State Park are nearby and worth checking out as well!
Willamette Valley
Come visit Oregon's Wine Country! Some favorites are Willamette Valley Vineyards, Björnson Vineyard, Domaine Willamette and Sokol Blosser Winery
Portland
You definitely have to check out Powell's Books, the Japanese Garden, and Hoyt Arboretum while you're in Portland! If you want to go on a hike nearby, Forest Park has some beautiful trails. Portland is home to a lot of fun craft breweries and food truck parks.
Mount Rainier National Park
Mt. Rainier is just a 2.5 drive from Portland. June is a great month to go, and there should still be snow at higher elevations!
