How We Met

Early 2014

When we first met, Jordan was a junior in high school while I was a sophomore. We had some mutual friends but really didn’t talk much. During the summer of 2014, we saw each other at the DMV and then later Walmart. I remember thinking “why do I keep seeing him?” If only I knew back then that I would end up marrying him. -Alexis

How It Began

September 2014

We really didn’t become friends until school started back in the fall of 2014. He started sitting with my friends and me during lunch and walking with me to my classes. During lunch, we would sit across from each other in the hallway. Every day we would throw LifeSaver mints at each other and make bad jokes (like, super bad dad jokes). We went to the Hoover football games together and on one occasion my dad asked if he was my boyfriend. I told him no but then a few days later on September 24, Jordan officially asked me to be his girlfriend as we were standing outside my math class. -Alexis

The Proposal

March 2019

Well I started planning everything for the proposal in February. I started a group chat with my brother who was our photographer and my mom who went along for the ride. I told Alexis that we were gonna dress up and take some formal pictures to put in our photo album. So the day arrived and of course she was late getting to the house, then we set off in the car towards Hawks Nest State Park. We stopped and took some pictures at Catherdral Falls along the way and then got to Hawks Nest where I decided to do it at the little shelter area they have. After about 20-30 minutes of pictures, I got down on one knee and asked my beautiful girl to be my wife. -Jordan
