Kristin likes to take credit-I'll give her some. I was in San Diego visiting her in June, and she encouraged me to download the dating app Bumble. The reoccurring line that week was "the world is your oyster!" Anyone who knows me at all, knows that I am NOT the kind to jump into something like that. But, the world is your oyster! So, I did it. Nothing came of it then. Fast forward to August. I decided to get on the app and see what it was all about. I swiped around a few times, but quickly stopped myself because again, NOT me. One swipe caught my eye. Of course on Bumble, the girl has to be the first to say something, which again, NOT me. Dylan thinks his witty profile caught my eye. To be honest, I am not sure what caused me to say something. I should lie and say something more exciting, but something told me I should take a leap. So, I went for the approach I knew best, sports. He went to IU, and I went to Purdue. "IU huh?" with an eye roll... and the rest is history. We talked for a few weeks, through messages and on the phone. I could tell right away he was genuinely a great guy. We had our first date a few weeks later on September 4th at Mimi Blue Meatballs. Sharing meatballs on a first date was quite entertaining, and led to the best year of my life!
