Our wedding calls for cocktail attire. The ceremony and reception will be indoors, cocktail hour will be on the patio, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap depending on weather. Please wear your favorite party dresses, fancy separates, or a suit. We ask that guests avoid jeans, sneakers, and casual attire.
Due to limited space, we have decided to host an intimate wedding celebration with our closest family and friends and therefore we are only able to accommodate the specific guests named on your invitation.
Children are welcome to attend! However, please note per our venue agreement, children must be seated with their parents and must be accompanied by their parents at all times. This is a safety precaution as the venue sits on a few open acres of land and includes a small body of water, additionally the reception hall has a staircase and balcony. If you choose to have a kid free night thats ok too!
Unfortunately it is against our venues agreement to provide 3rd party childcare during the reception. If your children will be joining please plan to be with them throughout the night.
No, because we will be having a Catholic Wedding Mass the ceremony will be taking place at our church, St Martin De Porres Catholic Church in Prosper TX. The reception will follow and will be taking place at Oak + Ivy in Aubrey TX. It is approximately a 15-20 drive between the two locations.
Yes! We would love to have all of our friends and family present during our wedding ceremony to kick off the days festivities.
We only request that you remain respectful and quiet during the ceremony, cell phones should be silenced and no photographs should be taken during Mass (a professional photographer will be there to capture it all per the Church's guidelines!) As a non-Catholic you can choose to follow the congregations movements throughout the ceremony, ie. stand when the congregation stands and sit when the congregation sits, you can remain seated when the congregation kneels. You are not expected to make the sign of the cross and you will not receive communion.
