Madeline and Nick first met in high school. They quickly became friends in art class, bonding over a shared sense of humor—and with Maddy helping Nick choose colors after she found out he was colorblind! Before long, their friendship grew into deeper feelings for each other. But being a little too shy to say anything, they eventually lost touch after Nick graduated. A few years later, in the summer of 2019, Nick’s family took a road trip out West and stopped in Wyoming. Maddy had visited Wyoming years before with her family, and when she saw that Nick was there, she decided to reach out to her high school crush. As they say, the rest is history! Nick has often told Maddy that when he received that first message, he thought to himself, “I am not going to mess this up.” Six years later, their love has continued to grow with each passing year.
