Places to visit in VA

The Wedding Website of Rebecca Debski and James Hinker
Photo: Sky Meadows State Park Since our wedding falls on a Friday, we wanted to share some of our favorite locations as well as some other fun activities around NOVA for anyone planning to stick around through the weekend!

Map of Our Suggestions Below + More :)

Shenandoah National Park

Front Royal, VA 22630

If you've never been to Shenandoah, it's a must-see! You can drive along Skyline Drive for great views or park for a hike in the park (we like the Hawksbill trail).

Sky Meadows State Park

11012 Edmonds Lane, Delaplane, VA 20144

More hiking / walking trails and lots of birds to watch!

Luray Caverns

101 Cave Hill Road, Luray, VA 22835

It's cooler in the caverns, so this would make a great hot-day activity. There's also a garden maze and "toy town" for kids.

NOVA Wild

1228 Hunter Mill Road, Vienna, VA 22182

Nova Wild is a zoo with a drive through safari that you feed animals along. Fun for both kids and adults - James, Rebecca, Ryan, and Shannon had a blast here!

Udvar-Hazy Center (Air and Space Museum)

14390 Air and Space Museum Parkway, Chantilly, VA 20151

State Arboretum of Virginia

400 Blandy Farm Lane, Boyce, VA 22620
, (540) 837-1758

This is where we took our engagement photos!

Harpers Ferry National Historic Park

Harpers Ferry, WV 25425

Shenandoah River Tubing

8567 Stonewall Jackson Highway, Front Royal, VA 22630

Front Royal Farmer's Market

317 E Main St, Front Royal, VA 22630

Occurs every Sunday from 9am to 2pm in downtown Front Royal.

Weird Brothers Coffee

321 Sunset Park Drive, Herndon, VA 20170

Our favorite coffee shop :)

Medium Rare

3601 Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA 22201

Rebecca'a family requests to eat here every time they visit. If you like steak and french fries, this is a great dinner spot!
