Question

How should we coordinate getting to Kiawah Island if lodging there?

Answer

Charleston International Airport (CHS) is the closest airport to Kiawah Island. It is about a 45-minute drive from CHS to Kiawah. If you are flying in and would like to attend all the weekend events, we recommend arriving on Thursday evening or Friday morning. Uber and Lyft are available from the airport for arrival to Kiawah but do not operate in and around Kiawah. For out-of-town guests who want to travel in and around Kiawah Island, we suggest renting a car or using a transportation service. Uber and Lyft drivers are scarce on the island, and we want to ensure everyone has the best time! Parking is available and free throughout the island. For more information on securing a rental car at the Charleston International Airport, please visit the CHS airport website.

Question

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

We have included some options for hotel blocks in our "Travel" section, however, please feel free to book where you prefer.

Question

What is the welcome party attire?

Answer

The dress code is semi formal to cocktail. For women, we recommend a midi or maxi dress you feel comfortable being outdoors in. This event will be on grass so please refrain from wearing stilettos. For men, we recommend a button down shirt and pants. Jackets and ties are optional.

Question

What is the wedding attire?

Answer

The dress code for the ceremony and reception are formal attire. We suggest that men wear a suit with tie in any color and women wear a Midi/Maxi dress, or dressy separates - color is encouraged! The event will be hosted both outdoors and indoor. Please do not wear jeans.

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 6pm. Please plan to arrive around 5:30-5:45 pm to have plenty of time to find a seat and get settled in. Shuttle services will coordinate with this timeframe.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We would love to include everyone, but due to limited space, only guests who receive a plus one on their invitation can bring a guest. We appreciate you for understanding!

Question

Can kids attend?

Answer

We love your little one's, but this is an adults- only event! We hope you will see this as an opportunity to enjoy the evening off and come ready to party!

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged ceremony" - this means we are asking all phones and devices to be put away and silent during the ceremony. We have hired a professional photographer to capture some of the most important memories of the day. After the ceremony is complete, please feel free to take as many photos as you'd like! We will be sure to share our ceremony photos as soon as we receive them.
