Josh and I were friends in high school, but we did not start talking again until the summer after my freshman year of college. I made a last minute decision to attend a friend’s graduation party that Josh was also attending. We spent the entire party together, exchanged phone numbers, and the rest was history!
A few weeks later, Josh took me on our first official date: hammocking at Salt Creek State Beach. We talked, played cards, ate lots of snacks, and watched the sunset. After a few more dates, Josh took me on our first all-day date to San Diego: drinking coffee at Better Buzz, walking around Old Town San Diego, and watching the sunset at Sunset Cliffs, where he officially asked me to be his girlfriend.
Fast forward 4 years, and Josh took me back to San Diego where we recreated our first all-day date. Of course, we ended the day at Sunset Cliffs, and as we were making our way down the cliffs, I started to get a feeling that something really special was about to happen. My heart started racing and tears began to form in my eyes. Josh walked me toward a beautiful set up overlooking the ocean, complete with a picnic blanket, flowers, and a bottle of champagne. He pulled out a piece of paper, grabbed my hand, and got down on one knee. It was so sweet. We can't wait to celebrate our marriage with you!
