"We met in the FAMU Gospel Choir in 2010. I was singing with the rest of the freshmen and Mariah was observing from the back of the choir room, as soprano section leader. I was immediately interested in finding out who this mysterious person was. I was singing my heart out, when Mariah came up next to me. I anxiously awaited her to compliment my singing, but her first words were, "Hey, you're a little sharp". Love at first note! LOL From then on we spent ample time together, growing to love each other and completely falling in love with each other. -Victoria
I spent the day completing last minute tasks. Printing out the cards that our family would be reading, getting her ring cleaned, finding something nice to wear, etc. I'd contacted her friends and family weeks before and shared with them the plan; I was nervous and excited to give her the public proposal that I knew she would appreciate. We pulled up to Fogo De Chao and where I was supposed to blindfold her, but I knew better than to mess up her hair. I walked her in with her eyes closed and our family and friends read of cards that I'd written, expressing my love. At the end of the readings she open her eyes to them all holding letters that spelled, WILL YOU MARRY ME? Of course, she said yes. This is me we're talking about." -Mariah
