We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

It was a Sunday afternoon in April of 2019. Katrina had just met with a farmer on the Keuka Lake Bluff to gain permission to hunt for Spring Turkeys. Katrina decided to try to gain permission to hunt one other farm on Henderson Road in Penn Yan. She stopped by the farm and knocked on the front door, no answer. She asked around trying to figure out which Henderson owned the property and figured she would try again another day. Later in the week she received a message from this handsome farmer with the last name of Henderson. During the conversation, Katrina realized this is the farmer who owned the property she was hoping to hunt! After asking if she could hunt turkeys on the farm, Jason replied “there aren’t any turkeys here” and later asked to take Katrina out to dinner. Needless to say, Katrina now has permission to hunt for turkeys on Henderson Valley Farm!

It was a sunny November Sunday afternoon, Katrina had just finished cleaning the house and visiting with her Aunt Cindy. Jason had asked Katrina to take a break and go to the farm for a walk. As they pulled onto Henderson Road, Jason drove out back behind the grain bins. They got out and walked up onto a field that overlooks Seneca Lake. The colorful fall leaves still barely hanging on, the sun peaked out of the clouds glistening off the lake. The view was breathtaking. Jason said, “Katrina Roan Davenport, do you know how much I love you?” Jason then got down on one knee and pulled out the most beautiful diamond ring. Of course Katrina immediately said yes and after a long emotional embrace, they looked up towards the lake and saw two deer and a small flock of turkeys enter the field. A feeling of love, peace, and tranquility filled the next several moments to follow.
