Yes! Kids are welcome because we don't want that to be the reason you cannot share this day with us. Just please be sure to account for them with your RSVP. If you have children and they are missing from your guest count, please reach out so we can make the correction. We will have a small activity table and yard games to help keep them entertained.
We are at a park in the summer, so be comfortable and "nice casual"! Recommendations for the ladies could be a sun dress, a light maxi or midi dress, or a nice pair of jeans and top. Flats/sandals or wedges are recommended over heels for walking in the grass. Similarly for the men, nice jeans and a sport polo or button down is great! Due to anticipated hot weather, golf shorts are also okay for men!
We will have a pig roast as our main entree accompanied by many BBQ and favorite side dishes (courtesy of our wonderful mothers). There will also be an assortment of desserts and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). If you have any allergens, please let us know so we can accommodate and mark the food choices. The bride is gluten-free so those options will definitely be available.
As we already own a home together, we are not in need of anything physical. If you feel inclined to give a gift, we are asking for funds for our honeymoon. If you cannot gift any, no worries - your presence and dance moves are more than enough!
Guests are welcome to arrive as early as 3PM while the bride & groom are taking pictures. The buffet will be open to eat at 4PM and speeches/dances/etc will begin at 5PM. After that, the music will play until 9:30PM per city ordinance and the building will be closed at 10PM. If you are looking to continue your night, there are many breweries and bars nearby that a quick Uber or DD can safely get you to!
