We recommend “Ella’s Fav” on the heat level. Lexie loves the mac & cheese and JoJo’s dipping sauce. Brandon prefers the thin, crispy fries and honey mustard dipping sauce. Don’t forget a sweet tea or lemonade!
This is one of our favorite brunch places. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the Grilled Filet Mignon on Bleu Cheese Biscuits and Red Velvet Pancakes are to die for!
Fante’s is a great place to grab coffee like a local. It’s right next to Le Moo if you’re looking to grab brunch or it’s across the street from Cherokee Park! The bride and groom like to get their coffee to-go and enjoy on the walking trails.
In case you didn’t get enough at the reception, stop by Nord’s for the BEST donuts. The bride favors the buttercream donut and the groom favors the classic chocolate long john (no filling!) Stop next door at Sunergos for coffee!
Fun Fact: on the couple’s very first date, Lexie wanted to go for a walk on the bridge to keep the date going. Brandon insisted it was about to start pouring... luckily one of them checks the weather!
Unfortunately there’s not live racing in October. However, for anyone interested in horse racing or Churchill Downs, the Kentucky Derby Museum is a neat way to spend your Sunday afternoon!
We highly recommend our out-of-town guests experience a bourbon distillery while in town! For anyone short on time, the Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse is super convenient. For those looking for a more traditional distillery tour, just ask the bride or groom! In 2018 they completed several stops of the Official Bourbon Trail.
This one is a recommendation from the bride. Small plates and wine flights would be a fantastic way to spend Saturday evening!
