What should I wear?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to dress in formal attire while embracing color and patterns. Wear colors and prints in fabrics and styles you may not normally wear! Think light, bright and floral! Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a suit and tie. Ladies are encouraged to wear a midi or floor length gown. No jeans, shorts or mini dresses please. Please reserve white for the bride. When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We ask that you RSVP as soon as you can. Please RSVP no later than Thursday, April 1st, 2027. If we have not received your response by the deadline, we will assume you are unable to attend.

What type of bar will there be?

Answer

There will be an open bar!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes! There is a complimentary shuttle to and from the hotel. Check back closer to wedding day for the specific times the shuttle will be leaving and returning to the hotel!

When should I arrive?

Answer

Seating for the ceremony begins at 3:30pm. We kindly ask that you find a seat no later than 3:50pm. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00pm.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

With a limited venue capacity, we're unable to accommodate more guests than those on our invitation list. Therefore, plus ones are by invitation only. Thank you so much for understanding!

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

With a limited venue capacity, we're unable to accommodate more guests than those on our invitation list. As much as we love your little ones, children in attendance are by invitation only. We ask other guests to please leave your children at home and enjoy a date night! Thank you so much for understanding!

Where should I park?

Answer

There is plenty of free parking at the venue, including an extra lot across the street if the main lot is full. Cars can be left overnight at the venue, if needed.

Where will the events take place?

Answer

All events will take place at the Monroe in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will be outdoors, weather pemitting. Cocktail hour will be indoors and outdoors, weather permitting. Our reception will be indoors.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony. Please keep your phones away throughout the ceremony. There will be plenty of opportunities to snap pictures during the reception!
