We both moved to the Emerald Coast in May. My second day here, I went to the local F45. I noticed Jack almost immediately after entering. After class, I stalked his IG and we followed each other. Fast forward a few days and many 7 am classes, he sent me a dm asking to take me on a date. I was SO against going on a 'date', I made every excuse to avoid it. I agreed to meet for a quick coffee and refused to let him pick me up, my excuse was it's not a real date. We instantly clicked and this 'quick' coffee turned into a two hour conversation in the summer heat. After coffee, I called my friends and told everyone about this super cute guy I had met. Fast forward NINE dates, Jack finally kissed me, and the saying is true. When you know, you know... but I still would not make it 'official' until July. We traveled to New England in August, and it was there that I realized I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Jack.
Emiley and I met right before my 23rd birthday, after we had both recently moved to Destin, FL and had met at a 7:00 AM gym class. A few classes, Instagram DM's, and texts later, we met for coffee at a local coffee truck spot, and talked, laughed, and reminisced long after our drinks had been finished. Emiley wanted to think nothing of our coffee date, but I knew that this woman was the beginning to something special - a prayer answered. Our next few dates of lunch, jet ski trips, and long drives around North West Florida led us to hanging out everyday, planning our entire day around getting to see each other after work, and a lot of sunset watching in the Jeep. From Atlanta, to Boston, and a bunch of trips to Mississippi, I quickly learned how much more fun life is traveling, learning, growing, and exploring with your best friend, soulmate, and fiance. Our relationship has grown and evolved quickly and more unexpectedly than I could have ever dreamed of, but I truly feel that I have won the lottery of life. I cannot wait to live the rest of my life with Emiley by my side.
