They met ten years ago on a dating app! He was a school bus mechanic and she was a training horses. three months later they decided to move in together in a tiny apartment in Utica Ohio. Neither of them knew they would find their forever partner and nether of them knew that their life would bring them to this point. All they really knew was that they wanted to do it together.
He popped the question on Christmas Eve in front of our oldest sons elementary school. He got down on one knee directly in front of a huge evergreen tree that was decorated by the kids. It had beautiful Christmas lights and hand made ornaments and even a whimsical lit path leading up to the tree. The setting was absolutely perfect but the ring was the most special part of it all because it was his late mothers wedding ring.
In short, there are many reasons why we waited. At first it was because Nikohl wanted to go back to school and finish her degree and it's MUCH cheaper as an unmarried person to attend school than it is for a married person to attend school. Then, in 2018, Ethan came along and school was no longer the priority but health insurance for him was and it's MUCH cheaper for a non working "single" parent to have insurance on an infant than it is for a married couple to have insurance. But now that Ethan is older and no longer needing the extensive doctors appointments we have come to the conclusion that its just time. That and we cant be "The Hamilton Homestead" if were not all offically Hamiltons.
This wedding is not going to be your typical wedding. As far as Bryon and Nikohl are concerned, this is just a celebration of signing the official paperwork and making it finally legal. The commitment to each other happed a long time ago in the eyes of God. Please celebrate with us in September at The Hamilton Homestead.
