We met in Mr. Carlson's Introduction to Art class. Daniel was a sophomore then and still needed his official driver's license. I was a freshman and didn't think much of him then. I took my art credits early to take all the college credits I could; Daniel took the class because the school required so many art credits. A few days had passed since our encounter, and I was sitting next to one of his fellow wrestling teammates when I knew Daniel just happened to keep coming over to talk to him. Our mutual acquaintance took a turn when the wrestling buddy switched spots with Daniel so he could sit by me. Daniel told me he wasn't good at art and needed my help. I helped and convinced him to join the art club (sign up). Daniel had added me on Snapchat thanks to his teammate, and I blocked him because I was trying to set him up with a friend at the time (but in reality, I was seeing if he liked me). He asked me why I had done it, and I said, " If you want to get to know me, you'll have to ask for my number." Daniel, being sneaky, took my number off the art club sign-up sheet on the wall and started texting me, and from there, we spent countless hours on the phone and continued talking and building our friendship in a matter of months. Daniel officially asked me to be his girlfriend on November 18, 2017.
