Ashley arrived to Arizona in June of 2022. Her parents had moved just a few months earlier from California, and she had decided to spend part of her last summer before graduating with her family, exploring a new place, and making new friends. Chase also visited home to spend some time with his family. Since both of us would only be in town for a little while, our focus wasn't on dating so much as making new friends and enjoying summer the most we could. Within just a week of Ashley arriving, the two went on their first date to play pickleball. We hit it off pretty immediately, and after our second date, we saw each other nearly everyday. Chase helped Ashley check off items on her Arizona bucket list, like kayaking on Saguaro Lake, country dancing, a night hike, etc. They spent their time playing volleyball, going swimming, hanging out with friends, watching movies, and really did make the most of their time together. Chase headed back to Utah a few weeks before Ashley, but the day they were back in the same state, they made it official. And the rest is history.
