The ceremony and reception will both be held at Lovin Life Stables in Evans, WV. Lovin Life Stables 14283 Evans Road Evans, WV 25241
We would greatly appreciate it if you could RSVP as soon as you receive your invitation. To help us plan, we ask that you RSVP no later than March 26, 2025, by clicking the RSVP tab in the menu above. After March 26th, unfortunately, any unanswered invites will have to be marked as "not attending" due to needing a guest total for our vendors. Thank you for understanding.
To RSVP, use the RSVP tab in the menu above and search by the last name of any of your party members. Indicate who in your party is attending (there are separate places to indicate ceremony & reception). We are also asking our guests to let us know if any of you would prefer a hotdog instead of a pulled pork sandwich.
You will be dearly missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please RSVP "will not attend." If you can make it after you have RSVP'd, please let us know as soon as possible but no later than March 26th so we can plan accordingly.
The ceremony will begin at 4:30 PM. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to the ceremony to allow time for parking and finding a seat.
If you received a plus one, your guest's name will appear with your name when you RSVP. Due to limited space and wanting to keep our wedding as an intimate event with our closest family and friends, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited. Thank you for understanding!
Yes. Children of our invited family & friends are welcome. While children are welcome, they MUST be supervised at all times. Our venue requires that children are kept away from the barn area where the horse is kept, and the loft area. Due to liability issues, we can not have children running around unattended. However, while there are areas that children will not be allowed, there will be areas set up outside for them to play games as long as they are supervised by an adult. Thank you for understanding.
The ceremony and pre-reception social hour will be held both outside, while the reception will be held indoors. We suggest you dress in whatever you will feel best in.
Our venue has free on-site parking in the lot to the right of the venue.
Although your presence is the best gift we could receive, we realize some of you would like to know about gifts. Since we already have much of what we need for a home, instead of a traditional registry, we'd love contributions to our newlywed fund or a charitable donation to causes near & dear to us. Gateway Christian Church - Student Ministry Cancer Research (In memory of Brenda Compton, Susan’s stepmother) Alzheimer’s Research (In memory of Rudy Raynes, Susan’s basketball coach for many years) However, if you'd like to give a physical gift instead, we have built a small registry on Amazon.
We ask that you kindly put your phones and cameras away during the ceremony as we want you all to be present with us in the moment. We have a professional photographer capturing the ceremony for us. Other than the ceremony, yes! Please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you like. Please use our wedding hashtag for any pictures you post on social media! #ToHaveAndToHalstead
The ceremony will begin at 4:30PM. The bride, groom, and family will take photos immediately following the ceremony. During this time, guests can enjoy light appetizers and yard games. The dinner reception will begin at 6:00PM. After dinner, please enjoy the evening with dancing, yard games, and mingling with family & friends.
Yes! Please hashtag any photos with #ToHaveAndToHalstead
Please come dressed in whatever you feel your best in! However, we have asked special friends and family members to wear our wedding colors of navy blue & burgundy.
