We’re getting married!

After years of navigating the world of online dating (and roughly 20 first dates…lol), Maddie and Christopher met on Hinge. Before meeting in person, they had a phone call “interview” to see if there was any chemistry, and it quickly became clear there was. What started as a simple first date quickly turned into something neither of them expected. During that first date, the conversation flowed effortlessly. They realized not only how much they enjoyed each other’s company, but also how closely their values and perspectives on life aligned. It quickly became clear they were forming a genuine connection. After their first date, Maddie went home and told her parents, “I just met my husband.” From that moment on, everything felt intentional, like there were little signs everywhere that God had been writing their story long before they met. They both knew very quickly that something special was happening. Just two days later, they spent the entire day together on their second date, ending at church that evening, where Maddie even met Christopher’s parents. At one point they accidentally referred to each other as boyfriend and girlfriend, laughed about it, and then decided they might as well make it official. By their third date, they both knew exactly how they felt. Saying they had something to share, they counted down together, “3, 2, 1,” and at the same time said, “I love you.” That same day, Christopher gave Maddie his signet ring to try on her ring finger so he could secretly know her ring size. From their first date on, they have spent nearly every day together. Just three months later, Christopher asked Maddie to marry him, and she joyfully said yes. While they are eager to be married, they are patiently waiting for their wedding day, one year from their first date, on September 19, 2026.
