While we went to high school together (briefly), I could have never imagined our story. Flash forward 9 years- a loss hit our extended family and I returned to pay my respects for a long weekend. Shortly after my return to Houston, I learned my company was relocating without my position. The decision to return to Wisconsin was made easier with the memories we shared. Upon my return to Wisconsin, it didn't take long before Nate and I became inseperable. It started out as attraction, quickly moved into best friends and then years of denial. It was a cold January afternoon that he decided to make it official. We first have to be dating again. Like we always do, there were plenty of long talks which eventually led into my agreeing to be his girlfriend. Fast forward about 15 miles north, we were dancing with a friend DJing. Nate looked at me and asked if I would marry him. Trust me, this time, it only took a split second to make a decision. #CountdowntoHahn
We've lived 30 minutes apart from each other in either direction for years. Through the 2016 Holidays, Nate was staying up in Pardeeville almost every weekend. Fast forward to March, Nate made a comment about wanting to play his PS4; meanwhile, I just wanted to see him that evening. In passing, I mentioned to have him bring up the unit so I could see him, at least. Compromise! Once the PS4 arrived, it wasn't long before it didn't leave. About a week later, he packed an "weekend" bag of clothes. While I asked the following Monday what the plan was- he mentioned he was coming back to my place that evening. The words "I am moving in" to this day never have been said. I only assumed he was staying once we picked up the Xbox. ;)
