Things To Do

Canal Walk

Canal Walk, Indianapolis, IN

If you’re new to Indy, this is a staple! The Canal runs right through downtown, and has wide sidewalks on either side to take you underneath the streets.

Ale Emporium

8617 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250
, (317) 842-1333

This is one of Aaron and I’s favorite places to eat! Aaron always gets the pizza, he loves it. There are multiple locations, our favorite is the one in Greenwood. This one is closest to the city.

16-Bit Bar+Arcade

110 East New York Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204
, (317) 939-6916

If you’re okay with a bar atmosphere, this is one of the most popular spots downtown, and for good reason. If not for drinks, this place is great for games!

Action Duckpin Bowl

1105 Prospect Street, Indianapolis, IN 46203
, (317) 686-6006

This is a fun alternative to regular bowling, in a fun 50’s themed alley right in Fountain Square. Great for dates or for families!

The Fashion Mall at Keystone

8702 Keystone Crossing, Indianapolis, IN 46240
, (317) 574-4000

It’s on the spendy side, but if you want to feel fancy, all you have to do is shop here! Some stores have good sales, like Altar’d State. Others are just one-of-a-kind for the area, like the Apple store, Vera Bradley, Lush, and Williams Sonoma.

Bakersfield

334 Massachusetts Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46204
, (317) 635-6962

Hip tex-mex a la carte tacos, what could be better? Aaron and I first found this place in Cincinnati, then realized there was one back home too. Just know that if you hate spicy food like me, your options will be very limited.
