Katherine and Andrew's lives have always been intertwined without them knowing it. While growing up only about 10-15 mins away from each other, they never crossed paths. This was the case until Andrew attended the University of Georgia (UGA) and became roommates with his childhood friend Paddy (who Katherine had also become friends with back in High School). Katherine went on to attend The University of Tennessee, but frequently visited her high school friends at UGA. One weekend, Katherine was visiting her friends at UGA (including Paddy), and they were hanging out in Paddy's dorm room. Andrew came back to his room from work that night, and this is when Andrew and Katherine met for the first time. There is even a picture of Katherine and her friend Jane from that night in Andrew's dorm. After being introduced to each other, they continued to have a similar circle of friends and became friends on social media, but their paths crossed very few times throughout college. Fast forwarding to 2 years out of college, they finally meet once again. Andrew had been participating in “Dry January”, but was invited by Preston and Paddy (high school friends of Katherine’s) to a party in Virginia Highlands. He decided to go and drive his friends. They had asked if he could pick someone up on the way, which happened to be Katherine! As the night went on, they all had a great time and Katherine and Andrew got to catch up. Paddy mentioned to Andrew that Katherine played tennis, and that he thought that Andrew and Katherine would be a good match. Andrew conveniently had a tennis team with his friends so he asked Katherine to join them. She said yes, of course! As the tennis league went on, they were able to spend more time with each other, and a friendship started to become a relationship. A couple months later, Andrew finally asked Katherine on a first date. From then on, they continued to fall in love, continued to play tennis (Andrew has yet to beat her), and the rest is history! All of their lives they had been so close to meeting each other, but it happened at the perfect time. Who knew love would be right around the corner!
